Our Titanic Ball held on Saturday 6th July at Herne Bay’s Kings Hall, was a great success!
Organised by BayPromoTeam, as part of the Centenary celebrations of the Kings Hall, our guests arrived to the music of our string quartet, before being entertained with our singers, dancers, band and disco. Matthew Snoad provided us with a complete Titanic Exhibition in the foyer, along with our fascinating Titanic props and info boards.
Raffles were drawn and photos were taken, which raised £758 for the RNLI. Lots of lucky guests went away with spot prizes and Fabulous Costume awards in recognition of the effort they had made.
We were proud to have Sidney Hearne in attendance, who captivated the entire room with the history of his grandfather Harry Corn, who was sadly lost when the Titanic went down, before he lead a minutes silence out of respect for the lives lost.
There’s plenty of superb photos from the night, so please take a look through the gallery below. We were also lucky enough to have Burning Ring Media on hand to put together a nice video giving a flavour of the night for those that couldn’t attend.
The Kings Hall Centenary Celebrations don’t stop with our Titanic Ball, in fact, it’s just the beginning, here’s what else is going on over the coming weeks.
